Giant’s Escape 3 is an invitation to slip away from your daily routine and explore new routes. Its lightweight aluminum frame is complemented by a steel fork which dampens the road vibrations so you can enjoy a quick, smooth ride. With Shimano’s 21-speed drivetrain you’ll find that the hills fly by with ease and thanks to linear pull brakes, you’ll always be able to keep your momentum in check. The Escape’s flat handlebars, upright position, and wide 700c wheels will have you confidently soaring down the bike path and enjoying you time outdoors.

Quick review of the 2015 Escape model.
I bought it in March 2015.
Long story short, I put 2500 miles on this bike so far (its January 2016). Its inexpensive, but perfectly functional. After I dialed things in, after its break in period, I have had zero mechanical issues.
I did change out the handlebars for, "trekking bars", and replaced the seat with a cutout model. I am 5'11 and the large size model feels perfect.

Lightweight, Stylish, Comfortable, Beautiful
I ride about 12-14 miles a day. I just bought this bike and was going in for a Trek. Since Giant is a bigger bike company and numbers equal lower cost, I was able to buy the Giant at a lower price that the same quality Trek bike. So far this is a dream. So smooth and able. The quality of the bike and components are obvious and constant.
I cannot say enough about this bike. I am glad it caught my eye in Trace Bike shop.

Lightweight, Comfortable, Smooth Ride, Durable
I bought this bike in an effort to get back into shape. It has been a dream. My problem has always been that I couldn't find a way to exercise that I enjoyed enough to be excited about every day. This bike has helped me find just that. The ride is smooth and fast. The only problem I have had is shifting up when I get out of a stretch of grass I ride through, but I imagine that has more to do with user error. If you plan to take up this hobby, this is a great bike to start with.

Great Bike for the price
Lightweight, Durable, Stylish
Horribly Hard Seat
I use this bike on the trails and roads for about 10 miles daily. I am no expert but wanted a bike that wouldn't need maintenance every week (Schwinn).
Problem I had with my old Schwinn was the rims would be bent and impossible to ride the bike and the gears needed maintenance 1 time every 2 months.
This bike has been amazing so far and is effortless. Looks great in black/gray
I am using this to get back into shape and lose some extra baggage. This bike is extremely light, the Shimano up and down shifters are amazing. I recommend trying the Giant Escape and the Cyphress. The escape is a little more sleeker and the cyphress has a larger seat. My only con with the cyphress was the turn grip shifters vs the thumb shifter ont he escape.
I purchased the riser for my Escape handlebars adding 2-3 inches. Its all about what you are comfortable with, the staff at PV Bike Shop works with you to find that level and will not pressure you to buy anything!!!
I highly recommend going and talking to Randy, Ken, and Butch.
I decided half way through summer it was time to make a change in my fitness. I chose to pick up bike riding because of a knee injury a year ago. I was fairly new on bikes and all the terminology so I chose this gem for a beginner bike and price. Its extremely light weight and when I say light weight I mean I can lift it over my head with one hand no sweat. The seat is a little uncomfortable after sitting on it for so long but it is an over all very smooth ride. Everything works PERFECT! before I knew it I was logging 20+ mile bike rides in no time. This bike has given me such a great workout everytime and it's nice to get around town free. I would recommend this bike to anyone looking to pick up a new hobby. I plan on advancing in this hobby in hopes of picking up a tour road bike with the curly handle bars but for now this works perfect!

Just bought it, love it! I use the bike to commute from Dana Point to Laguna Beach, which is about 9 miles, not excessive but lots of hills. The bike drives great, tackles the hills confidently. I could hope for slightly better brakes and gears variety, but for the price, definitely *****

Ecersize, Commuting, Fun, Racing, Fin, Having a good time
This bike was given to me by my dad for a birthday present. I have been on it for a couple weeks now and am VERY impressed. The ride is very smooth and is easy to make sharp turns at faster speeds than normal. It looks amazing and has a very modern feel to it. It is a great bike for a friendly race or for my use, 2-3 mile commutes. I highly recommend.

I don't ride for speed just exercise. Far less impact than walking and lots more fun.
