There are bikes, and then, there are bikes. We've set up this section of the site so that we can show off some of the really cool bikes that clients of Revolution Cycle and Ski have asked us to help them build. We are really gratified that knowledgeable cyclists have relied upon us to help them make such an important decision. Here then, is some eye candy for you.
Here is an Independent Fabrication custom steel Time Trial machine. The bike pretty much speakes for itself - awesome!
At the risk of being repetitive, here is another custom Pinarello - this one is an FP6 frame with, get ready, a full Campagnolo Super Record Groupo! The bike has the new Mavic Ksyrium SL Premium wheels - Bene, Moto Bene!
In the rhelm of road bikes, it just does not get any better than this - a custom Pinarello Prince. The bike boasts of the new, internally routed cable, Shimano Dura Ace group and Zipp wheels. AWESOME!
While not a Pinarello, this custom built IF is, in its way, no less cool. This bike is the result of input provided by a Revolution client and Mike's intuition related to what fits a specific rider.
As mentioned below, Mike has recently built some really cool BMX racing bikes. This is a Felt Sector XXL that was built from the frame up using the nicest parts out there. On its maiden voyage, Bret won going away!
This isn't really a complete bike, it's the Salsa Moto Rapido frame that the shop donated as a prize in the recent Single Track Escape Raffle to benefit trail maintenance. The lucky winner is Bryan Amo, pictured here with his fabulous wife Sheila.
Mike has built two really awesome BMX racing bikes lately. Here is a custom SuperCross. Check out the Blue Hubs:
This is Cory with his new custom machine:
Here is a custom Salsa Chili Con Crosso - scandium frame. This bike has some really cool touches like the hand built matching Velocity wheels and the Chris King headset.
Next up, is a custom built Independent Fabrication Mountain Bike. This is a one-of-a-kind single speed beauty:
This bike features a RockShox SID World Cup fork, Chris King hubs & head set (all green), rims, stem and bars from Syncros, Shimano XT Cranks and an Avid BB7 braking system. Note the really nice touches that set this bike apart, like the green spoke nipples.
While we're on the subject of IF, here is a another custom build. It's a steel road bike and another one-of-a-kind.
Here is another custom build that we did for one of the Tour d'Afrique - a 7,000 mile trek from Cairo to Capetown - participants. Needless to say, a journey such as this demands a very special bike. The choice, a Salsa DosNiner which is a soft-tail 29" Mountain Bike.
Talk about cool customers ... how bout this one? For those of you that haven't yet been passed by this bomber, that's Caleb on his new Strider.
